Joanne Cripps is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the DEAF CULTURE CENTRE, under the auspices of the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf. Registered Charitable Number 11883 0702 RR0001. Joanne is a renowned Deaf leader, advocate, and author of of Quiet Journey: Understanding the Rights of Deaf Children. Responsible for the daily operations of the DEAF CULTURE CENTRE, the Deaf art and heritage displays focus on promoting the abilities of Deaf people around the world. Joanne Cripps successfully achieved seed funding from the Toronto Enterprise Fund to establish and operate this distinctly unique tea shop, Def-T.

We need you. The Canadian Cultural Centre of the Deaf is a non-profit charitable organization that depend on volunteers and donations to support and preserve Deaf art, heritage collections and language: ASL American Sign Language. Volunteers and donors keep our doors open, run the gift shop, and provide educational tours, exhibits, and programs. Volunteering is a way to get involved with Deaf life, and meet people with whom you can share cultural experiences from across Canada and around the world.
